Hi,
Your the first Acosta mentioned in here that has a connection to Colorado. My Grandfather was Henry Acosta, and he was from Colorado. His mother's name was Maria. She married an Acosta and had eleven children. My grandpa was the youngest. He moved to Washington in the forties to marry my grandmother, Marie Descloux. I recall my grandparents talking about "Cousin Abe". I wonder if he's the same one. This would be the only lead I have so far.
