Hi, My name is Xiomara Fernandez, but my maiden name is Acosta. I am interested in finding any family out there. My father was born in Media Quija, Yauco, Puerto Rico, on Sept. 10, 1919. Today he is 85 and well. He was the only surviving son of nine children that Jesus Acosta and Magdalena Garcia had. He has a surviving cousin named Jose Luis Acosta who still lives in Yauco, Puerto Rico. My father still owns the house where my grandparents used to live in Yauco. My father has had 19 children, 16 children (13 boys, 3 girls) with his first wife, Amelia Vargas. After she passed away he married my mother, Iris Consuelo Negron, and had 3 more girls. Today there are 17 of us still a live. We are trying to locate one of our brothers, Daniel Acosta, who should be about 57 years old today. We know that he last lived in Chicago, IL and had two sons. If anyone knows about my brother, his kids or any Acosta that would be part of our family, please let me know.
