Does anyone know if there is any documentation specifically stating that John was the son of Matthias and Margaret Eichorn? According to my family he was born about 1742 aboard ship to America and his family settled at Broad Bay (now Waldoborough), Lincoln Co., Maine. I'm just trying to figure out if that's true or not, because I've found other family histories claiming that John (the son of Matthias) stayed in Maine after the American Revolution. Does anyone know for sure?
