Native American Acorns, Ned and Rider--Civil War pensions!

I have seen the Civil War pensions for two Native American veterans, Ned and Rider (Writer) Acorn, who fought for the Union. Writer died about 1865, and his widow applied for his pension----Sarah who had been married before to E. Foreman. Surnames in file include Jacob Bushyhead, Judge Red Bird, Six Killer, Otter Scraper. Some children mentioned in file include Evaline, Judy and Emma.

For Ned, he died after 1901, maybe 1907, and married to Katy or Caty. Children include Nancy, Eliza, Dick, Zeke, and John. All Ned's family are listed as Full-blood Cherokee.
I do Civil War pension research professionally. contact me "privately" for more info on getting copies of these files or other Civil War pensions. Hopes this helps someone. Janice at janice8@comcast.net.
