Do you have Alexander in your database? I would like to know not only his origin, but also what became of him. I have pictures of his wife and child. The following are clues that I have found about him.

I found him in the following census:
1880 ACORN ALEXANDER Multnomah County OR 332 Portland Federal Population Schedule OR 1880 Federal Census Index OR16646608
Acorn, Alex WM 34 Carpenter P E Island PE Island PE Island

He is listed in the following marriage record:
Marriage Records of Multnomah County, Oregon, Book 7, abstracted by Harriette Word Park, page 188: ACORN, CHURCH - A B ACORN & Elvira B CHURCH, both of Mult Co, m 13 Jun 1889 at the house of Baptist Ch by Geo W. Hill MG; wits: O P Church, Carrie Church. Page 188

The couple lived for a time in Vancouver according to a letter dated 1890.

After the death of a baby girl, Alexander and Elvira separated, and she became known by her maiden name by 1895. She returned to Portland where she died in 1925.
