This is what I have that proves that Conrad Eckert is NOT the father of our John. By indenture made 4/6/1793(Book A, Vol 31, pg 533/534, the farm of 150 acres was conveyed to Conrad Eckert's son John by the executors of Conrad's will. John Eckert son on Conrad was born Oc.t 13, 1766 in Heidelberg Twp, Pa on the Eckert Homestead, died Dec. 14, 1856 and is buried in St. Daniel's Cemetery. he stated on the Eckert Homstead which he acquired April 26, 1793, (from Conrad's will). John married Catherine Elizabeth Haag (Haak) in 1792. Children: Jacob, Wm, Mary, John D., Sarah, Benjamin, Isaac, Catherine & Rebecca. Had a brother Conrad who married Barbara and another named Peter who married Susanna Phillippina Brown. Info from conrads will, the book "History of Berks Co, Pa" Michael G. Grubers research from 1920 and info from tax record, census record, baptism records, etc. Now if anyone has proof otherwise I would be very interested in seeing it, outside of what someone said in the LDS records.
