Here is some more information that I have found out: Clyde Acord's father's name was William Henry Acord. Clyde also had an Uncle Harv who was a drifter and an Uncle Pank. I believe William Henry Acord's father fought in the Civil War and was wounded twice but survived both times and lived to be in his nineties. William Henry Acord had the following children:
Clyde - my grandfather
William - lives in Kokomo, IN., Howard County
Wilford - lives in Kokomo, IN., Howard County
Dayton - deceased, I believe he died in Tipton County hospital
Bessie - I think she lives in Kokomo but I am unsure at this time.
He had another daughter who died. Name unknown.

My father tells me that this line of Acord's are Irish, possibly coming from Ireland.
