My great-great grandfather, James Madison Acord,Sr. was born in Muskingum County, Ohio. His father owned property which adjoined the property of your Michael Acord in Jackson twp., and on the other side of Michael's property was the land owned by Absalom Acord. Although I believe these men are related somehow, I've never found documentation as to their relationship, or anyone with a provable theory. I have a lot of info on my Acords from this area and will share. Here is my line:
John A. Acord (1765 PA-abt 1850-1860 OH)
John G. Acord (1790 PA-abt 1860-1870 OH)
James M. Acord, Sr. (1830 OH-1897 OH)
Joseph G. Acord (1866 OH-1928 OH)
John Wayne Acord (1894 OH-1954 OH)
Mary L. Acord (1924 OH-1988 OH) -- my mother
I was also born in OH and live there still.
