Rachel Ann Acord (born 1768) was my great-great-great grandmother who moved to Fremont County, Iowa with her son Jacob Acord (1821-1856) and his wife Cynthia Acord (born 1822). Jacob's son Greenberry Acord (1840-1923) and his wife Lucy Evins parented Clara Della Acord (1883-1965) who married Robert W. Handy who parented Albert Clinton Handy (1905-65) who married Gertrude Eolyn Watts (1905-1972). Albert and Gertrude are my parents. Footnote: Greenberry Acord married, widowed four times, fathered 37 children. His Acord family reunion held in Oklahoma is attended by an estimated one thousand people.
