I have an Anna Bowman married in Augusta County, Va to Jacob Acord about 1821. She was the daughter of Godfrey Bowman of Augusta County. Her name appears on his will along with that of her husband Jacob.
Her brother John Bowman moved to Marion County Indiana in 1829. He later returned to Augusta County The names are similar enough to look into. We have a George W. Bowman. These may be children of Anna.
Her sisters married Daniel and William Armstrong. Their names were Mary and Elizabeth (Betsy)
