Thanks for the lead. I did find greatgrandmother Martha. However, this very useful site doesn't list parents for William Floyd Acord. Do you have other sources associating him with "Old Jack"? I'd also be curious to know where the Acords and the Sowders came from. Are these possibly originally Dutch or German names?
