I am researching The Acklens/Acklin who came from VA to TN to MS. I have tracked them back to TN (Morris Newton Acklen, born 1819 in TN) but have no information about his siblings or parents. I do know that his parents were both born in VA, which leads me to believe that his father may be Alexander or Christopher.
Does anyone have information that might be of help to me?
