Barnet Acklin-VA in 1770s

Has anyone ever heard of Barnet Acklin who was granted land in Virginia? I came across his name on a LDS film (7811). There was an un-dated list of "Lands Claimed & Certificates Granted in Augusta, Botetourt & Greenbrier Counties". Barnet Acklin had 400 acres for settlement.

It's curious - I noted that Elizabeth Acklin who married John Dille named her second son Barnett - a coincidence or a connection? I gather there was also a William Acklin with sons James & Alexander on the 1788 titheables list in Rockingham County. Could all these people be connected? Were Hannah and her daughters connected to them?

Jesse
