It APPEARS that John Acklin 1773 of Abingdon, VA, son of Christopher Acklin 1745, VA, was married and lived in Fayette Co., PA. On the familysearch.org website it is posted that he had four children: John 1798, Thomas 1801, George 1802 and Samuel 1803.
John later is found in AR with children Evelina, Milley, Cressey, Elizabeth, Kezia, William, Nancy and Meary. Their birthdates are from 1822-1846. I'm fairly sure the last are from a second marriage. I don't have the name of either wife.
John 1798 md. ?, children: Martha 1823, Joseph 1824, Thomas 1828 and Robert 1833. George 1802 md. Elizabeth ? and had a son John ca 1842. Samuel 1803 md. Maria ?, children: Thomas 1835, George 1837, Joseph 1840, James 1842, Margaret 1847 and Oliver 1850. I don't know what happened to Thomas 1801. All dates are approximates.
Does anyone out there know of being related to any of these people. I would appreciate any help here. TIA r. unrein
