I came across your posting on a GenForum message board. I think I have what you are lookig for regarding Edward Ackley.
Edward Fayyett Ackley was first married to Effie Washburn and they had 4 children.
He married a second time to Winifred Arminta York (d/o Truman York & Amelia Demean) on Feb. 09, 1915 in Niagara Falls, Welland Co., Ontario. They had one child. (Winifred is my 1st cousin twice removed) and this was the family I was researching.They divorced about 1917.
He married again to Emma Hariman after 1920 (don't know her maiden name) but she had 3 children and they were living in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan in 1930. As far as I know he died in Flint, Michigan (Feb. 16, 1942) and is buried in Gracelawn Cemetery there. Emma (died 1930) and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc Twp., Flint, Michigan. It is possible that Edward married for a 4th time to an Ida May ** as she is also buried in Gracelawn Cemetery.
He spent only 4 months in the Canadian Armed Forces from January 17, 1917 until about May and then he registered at Niagara Falls, New York on June 05, 1917 in the US Armed Forces.
