I'm looking for info on Fleming Acles, 1830 Jefferson Co., TN census, who's in tax lists of Jefferson Co. from 1822-1830's as Achles and Acholes, and Achols. His daughter Mathilda, as an Acoles, married John Lenox, Jr. on July 12, 1838 in Jefferson Co., TN. The 1880 census of Morgan Co., AL, where Mathilda Lenox lived at age 62, lists Fleming's birth state as "Ga," which should be Georgia. HOWEVER, a Peter Acle (no "S") in the Jefferson Co, TN 1830 census was born in Germany. Also, I'm looking for a Bradley Acle in the 1830 Jeff. Co., TN census.
