Shirley,
I am the great granddaughter of Stephen D. Ackles who was born in 1869 in Linn Co. MO. He married Isabella Rhodes. They had the following children:
Linnie
Edith
Mamie
Verna
Milliard C
Lewis C
Estus B. (My grandfather)
James Richard (Donald's father)
Doris (died 1917 in Spokane WA.)
Helen Mary(Marie)(Palouse, WA)
Pete
However, Shirley I don't have any information on these people except for my grandfather and his family. Can you tell me who was James's father was and maybe straighten me out on who his wife was? Palithia Allega is who we have, but I am under the impression that her real name would of been Tabitha Elizabeth Allega Street/ Ackles. The reason I think this is because in a later census it shows that they are together with her first name coming up as Elizabeth. But it could be that James's father's name was James and his father's name was William and after that I get lost again. I am thinking that they might be connected to the Canadian Ackles but am not sure. Although I wouldn't of doubted it, we were always told different things when we were growing up but am not sure of the truth in it anymore. Would appreciate any light that you may be able to shed on this for me.
