I have been researching my family tree, and my gg grandfather was Johann Martin Ackermann who married a Margaretha Kaufman. All I have is that and the fact that they had a son, Joseph Alois Ackerman, born in 1835. Since the name Katherina appears often later on, and the dates indicate to me there could be a connection. They were from the Black Forest region, in Walldurn Baden, West Germany. Any ideas, or where I can go to find out more about my Johann?
