Hi,
I'm working on building a history of my family and I have run into a slight roadblock. I am looking for any information on a Herman Ackerman(n) who immigrated from Baden, Germany to Peru, Illinois, and then to Kansas. His wife's name was Sophia Deckert. He was born 16 Dec 1842 in Erbstetten, Germany and died 25 Oct 1916 in Marysville, Kansas. His father's name was Johann Christian Ackermann (b. 14 Oct 1791, d.6 Jan 1855) and his mother's name was Christiana Herzer (b. 21 Mar 1804, d. 18 Mar 1881). I am trying to find any information further back on his (or Sophia's for that matter) line that has been verified. He had 4 sons: Anton, Adolph, Herman, and Frank. Any information on Frank or Adolph would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a great day!
