My grandmother Esther Ackerman came from Yednitz (Ednitzi), Bessarabia in the 1890's...She joined her older brother Dr. Leon Ackerman, who was already in New York...Also two sisters Frieda and Annie, and two brothers David and Harry....Does anyone know from what seaport they sailed from....Good Luck to all of you Ackerman decendants...<G>
