I think I have found your Fred Ackerman but I do not have much info on him directly but need all info you have for Vol. III of the Ackerman Family that I am working on right now.
I shod Fred D. Ackerman b Dec 1872 at NY who m. 1) Anna M. b Sep 1876 at NY.
I also show that they divorced in Sep 1923 at Tonawanda, PA. I do not have any children for this couple.
I show a second marriage for him 26 May 1927 Owego, NY to Minnie E BARROWS, widow b 1884 in Erin, NY
Fred was a locomotive engineer when he married the second time.
but Fred lived in Van Etten, NY in 1880 with his parents Job Riley b 17 Mar 1835 and Eunice Rebecca Clark b 16 May 1845. and in 1900 Census, Anna M. and Fred lived in Tioga Town, Tioga Co., NY together with 3 boarders. I have Freds ancestry back to Holland and you are eligible to join David Ackerman Descendants-1662 and I can give you any info you need on that. There are two books also that you might want to get on your ancestors Ackerman Family Vol. I and Vol. II.
