I am a descendent of Stephen and Stephen Oliver Ackerman and am orginally from Cottageville. They are both buried at Gruber Cemetery, 4 miles east of Canadys, SC on Hwy 61. There is no family record that I know of which indicates that Stephen's middle name was Clyde although some believe that to be the case and it is listed that way on his grave marker. My greatgrandfather was Stephen Oliver Ackerman who was the son of Stehpen Oliver Ackerman, grandson of Stephen Ackerman and brother of Lawrence Boswell
He is buried at the Cottageville, SC Cemetery. Many other Ackermans are buried at the Red Oak Cemetery in the vicinity of Cottageville.
