John C. Ackerman married Lydia Powless on 21 Mar, 1795 at New York City (she from Tappan).
They had at least the following children born NYC: LYDIA in 1814 (marr Richard van West 1836, NYC), PAUL in 1817, and HENRY J.(born 14 Jan, 1820). HENRY J. ACKERMAN married Adaline Storms on 14 Sep, 1843. Above info from Dutch Reformed Church records. HENRY J. and Adaline had Eleanor L. in New York. Then they had Henry A.,Theodore, Emma M., Josephine and Evelina in Wisconsin. 1860 Fed Census placed them in Rosendale, Fond Du Lac County, Wisconsin. Sound familiar? Please let me know....bcw
