The Ackermanns who came over on the
ship Vaterlandsliebe seemed to all
settle in the Zoar Community in
Lawrence Twp. Tuscarawas County,
Zoar, Ohio.
Christian and John George were brothers.
Godfrey Ackermann also belonged to
the Zoar Community established in
1819 according to the Articles of
Association.
