I have traced my ancestors to a Johannes Ackermann of Harxheim, Germany and would like to link him back further. It is close to Mainz where other Ackermann families are but I have been unable to make a connection. Here is the family group of my ancestors.
JOHANNES ACKERMANN , SR. was born Abt. 1610, and died October 17, 1680 in Harxheim, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany.

There is no record of Johannes Ackermann Jr. other than when Johannes Ackermann dies he is listed as Senior in the church books indicating there is a Jr.

1662, Confirmation in Harxheim, Germany age 16 HANS PETER HAPPEL: Died at age 62.
4> MICHAEL ACKERMANN, b. Abt. 1648; m. ANNA REGINA CONRAD, January 21, 1673, Harxheim, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany.
5> AGNES ACKERMANN, b. Abt. 1652; m. JOHANNES SCHNEIDER, May 22, 1677, Harxheim, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany.
6> JOHANN BATH ACKERMANN, b. Abt. 1656; m. ANNA CONRAD, September 22, 1681, Harxheim, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany.
