Thank you for your information..Fred Ackerman was my mother's grandfather,she thought he was born sept.1859 in Saskatchewan,also he had a brother George born Jan.28-1869(lived close to gagetown all his life...Her grandmother she thought Frances Jane Matson b1868 in New York, then moved to Kansas territory by age 10..Fred and Frances married 1887,report in 1900 census-6 children with 2 living-William & Archie..Found the draft william states his birth as july 12 1883,Archie was born in 1896 and died 1963(this was my mother's father)..The dates don't jive,,My mother thought William left gagetown about 1916, she was hoping to find his descendents..Thanks again for everything..Would love to hear more from you..
