My grandmother was Mary Jane Ackerman, her father was James Ackerman married to Catherine Murray. I think Steven Clyde was the original immigrant from Germany to settle in Cottageville. I have it all written down, but I am trying to reorganize and everything is a mess. I received all the info on the Ackermans from a Virginia Hairfield. Hope this some help for you.
