I am looking for relatives of Capt. Alfred Ackerman (1825-1913) of NY and WI, who was married to Jane Adams.
Alfred,
(Capt.) Theodore Ackerman (1832- 1886) and
(Capt.) John Ackerman(d.1916)
all lived (we think) in Jefferson County, NY. We think that there were 14 or more members of the Ackerman family in NY.

Later Alfred and his wife, Jane, lived in Twin Lakes, WI.
Known descendants of the Ackermans are in Illinois, Michigan, Montana, Arizona, Colorado, California, Oklahoma and Mexico.

I am posting this for an uncle of a friend in hopes that someone may see a connection.
