John George Ackerman b. Germany
his daughter:
Charlotte "Lottie" Ackerman b. ca April 1861 in OH,VA or WV
She married John Adam Wagner b. ca 1866 in Germany or in OH
She m.2. John Charles Ahl
Children of John Adam and Charlotte (Ackerman) Wagner:
Katherine Wagner b. 14 May 1884/5 Marietta, OH m.Wm. J. Rose
Ellwood b. ca 1890 OH
Harry b. 1883 WV
Joseph b. 1893/4 WV/OH
Elmer (Robert?) b. 1891/2 OH
Louis George b. 6 Jul 1880 WV
Possible children:
Lawrence b. ca 1894
Andrew b. ca 1896
Charlotte b. ca 1898
TCharlotte had 12 children, including some by John Charles Ahl, her second husband.
I am trying to find Charlotte Ackerman's parents. I can't locate the correct John George Ackerman.
It is possible that Charlotte is the daughter of Kate Ackerman, found in the 1880 Wheeling, Ohio Co., WV Census as a widow, age 43 (b. ca 1837). A Lottie is listed as her daughter, age 20 (b. ca 1860 in VA). Other children in this family were: George b. ca 1862 in VA , Andrew b. ca 1864 in WV, Henry b. ca 1866 in WV, Annie b. ca 1868 in WV and Edward b. Nov. 1879 in WV (age 7/12. Since Kate is listed as a widow, her husband would have had to have passed away ca 1879-80 based on the age of Edward.
In later Wheeling, WV census records, Kate indicates that she immigrated ca 1846-1854 from Germany.
Any information about these Ackerman families that would help to connect them or prove they are not connected would be welcome!
