Hi Regina (Jean) -

I saw your request for info above, and remembered that you and I had "talked" back in June (the 22nd) when I sent you a 6-pg. e-mail regarding this branch of the Ackerman family.

I don't know whether you still have the copy of the e-mail, but from it, I found the information that JACOB ACKERMAN was bp 19 Feb 1775, and was the BROTHER of THOMAS A. ACKERMAN'S GRANDFATHER, ISAAC ACKERMAN.

As far as the "HOPPER"-name tie-in, Jacob's brother, Pieter, bp of 1779 was witnessed by a "DAVID AND RACHEL HOPPE" (which could be an alternate spelling of the family name HOPPER).
