In the 1850 census I found Clement Ackerman w/wife Maria A along with four daughters living in the North ward of Pottsville PA, next door was I assume his brother Joseph Ackerman w/wife Mary M also with four daughters, in this census they were both masons. But in the 1870 census Joseph Ackerman and wife Mary have a son John born about 1860. I believe Mary M's mother Catherine Reinhardt was living with them at the age of 79. Joseph and Mary were married in Germany and brought two of the oldest girls with them. In the census for 1870 Joseph is a liquor dealer. Would your Ackerman's be related to this line?
