(1) 16 Feb 1811 Par Priscilla Banta b 11 Aug 1790; bp 15 Aug 1790 Par Ref, wit: Cornelis and Sietsje Banta (ggp); d. 23 Mar 1861, bur same. m (2) 23 Nov 1861 Catherine Allen Ten Eyck b 18 Feb 1817; d. 24 Nov 1864, bur Paramus, NJ. She was sister of Phoebe Ten Eyck. m (3) 13 May 1865 Hester (Hetty) Ackerman b 03 Oct 1808, bp 23 Oct 1808 Saddle River NJ; d. 20 Sep 1884, bur beside first husband, Conradus Storms, in Paramus, NJ. 28 Feb 1828 Cornelius appointd Justice of the Peace of Bergen County, by William Pennington, Governor of NJ. On 9 Jan 1829 Priscy Banta, w/o Cornelius Ackerman united with Greenwich Village Ref. Dutch NYC; dismissed 6 May 1836; Both united again 7 Jan 1842, dismissed Dec. 1848. In 1858 both joined Par Ref. on 6 Oct 1860, Cornelius and Priscilla joined Pascack Ref by letter from Paramus. Will dated 19 Sep 1866, Probated 7 Oct 1872 Orangetown, Rockland, NY (NY Surrogate 20 G-433) mentions widow, 4 sons, 2 dau and some gch.

Ref Ch NYC, d 20 Dec 1879, bur Valleau; m 14 Apr 1847 Phoebe Ten Eyck, b 14 Oct 1821, d 18 Oct 1912, bur same; dau. of John Ten Eyck and Mary Drummond, grndau. of James Drummond of Scottish Royalty. This family lived at Nanuet, Pearl River, and NYC at the corner of 43rd St. and 12th Ave.

NOTE: Cornelius J. Ackerman, the father, married Catherine Ten Eyck who was the sister of Phoebe Ten Eyck, the latter the wife of Cornelius' son Henry B. Ackerman. The parents of both Ten Eyck girls are shown above in Henry's bio.
