Hi Julia,

My name is Connie Acker. I live in Corsicana, Texas, which is about 60 miles south of Dallas. My husband's family (Acker) originated in Nuremberg, Germany. Peter ACKER was born about 1730 in Nuremberg, Germany. Peter's father, William Acker, was born about 1710 in Nuremberg. Are you familiar with either of these names?!! They both ended up in the U.S., and are buried over here.

My husband's parents have planned a European trip, and one of there stops is in Nuremberg. I am trying to locate places of interest for them to visit, where they might learn more about there family roots. Do you know if there is a family cemetery for the Ackers there? Do you know of any other Acker-related sights to visit?

I feel so helpless here! I would love to go to Nuremberg someday, and do more research! Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
