Echert, John or Johannis Eckert. S22747, NY Line, applied 1832 Ulster County, NY aged 85, a resident of New Paltz, NY and lived there during the Rev. Soldier was born near Staatsburg in Dutchess County, NY on 24 Oct 1746 and soldier stated he had family record written by his father in "High Dutch"

Eckart, Jeremiah or Jeremiah Eckert, Nancy, R3237, BLW#49048-160-55, NY Line, see Jeremiah Eckert

Eckart, John or John Eckhart, Elizabeth, PA Line, soldier applied 21 May 1818 Northampton County, PA aged 64 or 65 a resident of William Township, soldier enlisted 1st at Easton, PA and later at Ticonderoga, NY, in 1820 he stated he was about 87 with a wife aged about 60 and 8 living children, 3 boys and 5 girls, the youngest about 14. Soldier died 18 May 1843 in William Township. Widow stated she and soldier had 3 sons and 6 daughters by soldier, the oldest being John who was deceased by 1843, but if living would have been 47. The following children survive; Elizabeth Branden, Susanna Young, Margaret Stoneback, Catharine Deemer, and Abraham Eckert.

Eckert, Jeremiah or Jeremiah Eckart, Nancy, soldier's widow was Maria or Mareitje but the said Nancy was allowed the BLW erroneously as she was the widow of another Jeremiah Eckert.
Soldier was born Sep 27, 1761 at "Esopus, in Ulster County, NY, soldier applied there 10 Sep 1834 and soldier lived there at enlistment. Soldier married Mareitje Dijo at Kingston, NY. In 1852 surviving children were; Hiram and James Eckert and Catharine Smith and they stated that soldier died 17 Oct 1840 and that their mother had died in 1802. In regards to Nancy mentioned above, the record shows she rec'd in 1856 in the BLW at Alabama in Genesse County, NY, aged 90 and that she married Jeremiah Ecker in 1778 in Esopus, NY and that her name before marriage was Nancy Ellsworth and that soldier died in Sep or Oct 1834 or 11 Oct 1837 at Cobleskill, NY in Schoharie County< NY

Eckert, Stephen, S45362, NY Line, applied 13 June 1827 Ulster County, NY aged 82 years, 8months, a resident of Shawangunk, NY and was living with a son, John Eckert, he stated he had no family under his care but mentions some family.
