My father and I have worked on many lines and are now attempting the Ackers as my great great grandmother was Malinda Acker Kressler. She was the daughter of John Acker b. 1819, Lehigh County, PA. John was the son of Daniel Acker b. 1794 Lehigh County, PA (then Northampton Co. before 1812). In searching parents and siblings of Daniel, there is a Joseph with no baptismal record who appears as a brother of Daniel b. 1794. For whatever reason, the baptismal records are very sparse between 1797 and 1807, I believe we have 4 baptismal records and at least 4 or 5 other children without records so that we cannot positively place them in order of birth. But they all appear to be the children of Daniel Acker b. 20 April 1762 and Margaretha Schmidt married in now Lehigh County in 1793. Daniel b. 1762 is the son of Jacob Acker b. 1736 and Eberhartine Heisler. Jacob b. 1736 is the son of immigrant Philip Jacob Acker probably on the Ship Loyal Judith on 25 Sept 1732. Although I cannot positively place Joel, we have crossed the name. This is an extremely large family and very difficult to sort into families. This Joseph would have been born after 1795 and probably by 1810. At this time I have no further information on him. Should he have left Lehigh County at an early age, this would explain the lack of information here. Good luck.
