I would be very interested in finding out if you all have any ACKLES surname within your ACKER/ACKLER family trees.
It seems that ACKLES is difficult to read when written in long hand and it appears many times as ACKLER.
The ACKLEs from Orange, Sullivan and Onondaga Counties, NY. In Onondaga by 1810.
