Thanks. I think I had most of the information. I am distantly related through the Stahl line. Solome's mother was a Reese. I became curious about the family when I discovered their daughter Mary living in 1930 on the street when I now live in New York City. The son, Diedrich, had a daughter Ruth b. ~1911, but I am unable to find anthing further on her. Below is a copy of my file on the family. The superscripts to sources have descended but it should be clear. ====== 1 Joseph Acker1 -------------------------------------------------- Birth: ca 1845, New York2 Death: bef 1910 3 Census: 1880, Varick, Seneca, New York Joseph ACKER Self M Male W 35 NEW YORK Farmer PEN PEN Salome ACKER Wife M Female W 25 NEW YORK Keeping House PEN PEN Diedrich S ACKER Son S Male W 3 NEW YORK N Y N Y Mary E ACKER Dau S Female W 1 NEW YORK N Y N Y 1880 Census Place Varick, Seneca, New York pg 277C Possible connection with widowed Joseph Acker 1900 > New York > SENECA > VARICK Series: T623Roll: 1162 Page: 212 --------- To be Confirmed. Egle, State Librarian of Pennsylvania at Harrisburg, in 1898. The names of transient residents are omitted, also the names of foreign born Germans. It will be observed that the name of each family occurs only once - the name of the father, if he removed here being given, or the oldest or most prominent member of the family, when the father did not locate. The list of names is not entirely complete, but may be useful for reference:" Acker, Jacob ... http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyseneca/egle.htm Spouse: R.
