My name is Sharolyn Atchison Wells. My great-great-grandfather was Samuel Atchison, born 1836 Howell County, Missouri. He married my great-great-grandmother in 1856 and they had 8 children. Their oldest son also named Bradford was born in 1857, also Howell County. In 1875, they moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, where Bradford married Elizabeth Martin. They had 2 daughters and a son - my grandfather - Samuel Bradford - born 1904. In 1905, they left Mountain Home and moved near Ft. Smith, Arkansas. In 1907, they moved from near Ft. Smith to Turner, Oklahoma, between Spiro and Sallisaw. My great-grandmother became pregnant again and has a son in 1908. Three days later, mother and son died of milk fever. My grandfather's oldest sister - Ophelia - raised him since she was almost 12 years older than him. In 1929, my grandfather married Elizabeth (Ruby) Allen and in 1930, my father Billie Dean was born. They subsequently had 2 daughters and 2 more sons - Bertha Juanita, Helen Imogene, Arnold Wayne and Samuel Mack. In 1938, the family moved to Muskogee, OK. In 1948, my mother - Zelda Fulk - moved from near Columbus OH to Muskogee to be near her only sister. My mother and father met through mutual friends and married in 1950. I was born - the oldest of 4 - in 1951. I have 2 younger brothers and 1 younger sister. I married Phillip Wells in 1983 and have 1 daughter Megan Katherine. My older brother Billie Darrell has 1 son Christopher. Bill died in 1983 from diabetic complications. Freddy died in 1970, at the age of 16, without issue. My sister Elizabeth is married and has 2 sons and 1 daughter, Rusty, Scott and Sandra. Rusty has 3 daughters - Amber, Alexandra (Allie), and Autumn. Scott has 1 son - Corey. Sandra has no children.
