For those of you who have been posting messages to this forum for a while, you may remember that I posted a message asking if we were related. This was in February 2000 when I lived in Holland. I was searching for my father -- Agustin Acevedo -- who I didn't know. I am happy to report that I found him (still) in Nicaragua in July 2001. I went from my current home in Barcelona to meet him face-to-face in July 2002. My husband and I stayed at his home for 10 days, one of which was his 72nd birthday. His full name is Agustin Acevedo Larios and I am his number 4 child in a total of 8. I am his only child raised in the U.S. with English (rather than Spanish) as my native language. I have met many of my siblings and it is wonderful. We stay in contact by e-mail and phone. I am sure we will travel to Nicaragua again. So, yes, we are related! I truly am "de" (from or of) Acevedo!
