My grandmother's maiden name was Acampora and she came from Agerola. A relative took me to Agerola about 20 years ago and from walking through the cemetery, one would guess that the village is 85% Acampora and another 12% Naclerio. My mother and father (Alexander Naclerio) were both born in NY and they met by chance after WWII. I doubt they knew about any possible family connections. After they were dating for a while, maybe even after they married, they learned that they were maybe 6th or 7th cousins. My father's father came from Castle Amari di Stabia (sp?) which is a stone's throw from Agerola. My grandparents and my father have all passed away but I will try to pick my mother's memory about any connections.
