Thanks Todd for the information you posted.
Most of the information I have on the above persons I obtained on Ancestry.com thru the census records and etc.
I am wondering if you have some documation for the information you have shared on the above persons. I would be pleased to receive more information on the above persons.
I am sure David M Abston b ca 1866 is the son of David A Abston for I found him in the house hold of D A (David A) and R A (Rachel A) Abston in the US census, 1870, Baker County, Ala. And again in 1880 census in Coaling station, Tuscaloosa County, Ala.
I am wondering if the Henry Newton Abston you mentioned might be a brother to David M. Abston. There is a Newton Abston listed in the 1880 census b. ca 1871.
I was unable to locate either David A or David M Abston in the 1900 Census. I found David M. Abston and wife Louise O abston and 7 children in the 1910 Census in Red Lick, Johnson County, Arkansas. Again in the 1920 census in Grand, Johnson County, Ark., I found David M Abston and wife and four children. I have been unable to find him in the 1930 census.
I found a death record on Ancestry.com for a David M. Abston, death date 30 Nov 1947 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. I don't know for sure this is the same person as we have above.(Alabama Deaths, 1908-59, certificate 227??9, roll 5.
Julius Wallace Abston:
He is the step father of a friend of mine.
Julius W. Abston is the first born son of David M. Abston (U S Census 1910) b. 26Oct 1895,Blocton, Bibb County, Ala. (World war 1&2 military registeation) Died Jan 1950 in Saint Lucie, Florida. (Florida Death Index)
He married Bertha Grace Thomas (b. 11 March 1899 in Texas, Died 28 March 1983 in Oklahoma) 23 Dec. 1917 in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma (Okmulgee County, OK index to marriages.)
They had one son, Ralph H Abston, b 5 Nov. 1918 in Bryant, Okmulgee County, OK. Died: 8 March 1966, OK.
Julius and Bertha devorced in the early 1920's I think.
He remarried to Audria ? b. 21 April 1908-d 26 Sept. 1991, Mc Curtian County, OK
How do you fit into this family? I am doing research on this family for my friends.
