Hello, my name is Sharon Dannar and I am an Abshire descendant. My mother was Lela Abshire. Her father was Ruric Abshire, and his father was Ammon Latellieu Abshire. His father was Esom Abshire, (who surrendered with Lee at Appomattox). Then there is Ammon Abshire, Isaac Abshire, Luke and Christina Abshire, and Peter Abshire. Up until my grandfather, Ruric, they were all born in and around Roanoke, Va. My grandfather was born in Paris, Texas. He met my grandmother, Myrtle Maag when they were living around the Missouri and Kansas areas. They spent much of their married life in Colorado.
