I know very little on the Abshire/Absher ancestry. My Great Grandparents were William Joshua Abshire and Viola Adkins. The best I can figure, Joshua was a son of Jacob Abshire. His mother is another story which is very confusing because supposedly Viola married my gggrandfather and also my ggrandfather, and the dates are the same for both -Obviously some errors! Have you seen the name Viola Adkins in any of your research?
I don't have any of the children's names for Jacob & Rebecca except for William Joshua (b 1850; d 1929) and Rhoda M (b 1849) and I'm not even positive that Rebecca is WJAbshire's mother. Your Fanny Jane Abshire is a new name to me. If we keep working on this we might be able to figure it all out, hopefully helping us both out.
