I am taking this information from the Kith & Kin of Boone Co., WV Volume IX an article called The Abshires & Kin In Boone County By Joetta McCallister.

James Abshire, b 2 sep 1879, d 19 apr 1950; m 3 jul 1903 in Fayette Co., Virgin M. Copley, d/o Lewis & Mirtie Copley. In 1900 he was living with his brother, Ambrose, in Kanawha Dist. of Fayette Co.
