I seek information about a LOUISA J. ABSHIRE, who married a JAMES SLOAN, Hancock Co.KY, Nov. 3, 1842. I do have information that a JAMES ABSHIER was a suretor on a marriage bond of a James Swem(Swain) to an Elizabeth Cossler in Nov. 1838. I suspect that possibly Louisa J. Abshire was married to James Abshire previous to her marriage to James Sloan, and that Abshire was not her maiden name. If anyone has any information on these people, I would be willing to share what little information I have at present. Thank you.
