Just noticed the information about Ohio Co. Abshires in KY. Since the two counties are together -sort of- I will check that also. I did want to mention that there is also at least one extended family of Abshires living in the Warrick, Spencer Counties area of Indiana, at least in the early to mid-1850's. I believe that my particular Abshire connection was over in those counties (right across from the Hancock & Daviess Co. are of KY) in that period and then moved across the river. My Louisa Jane (possible maiden name Cosler-Cossler) stated she was born in VA in the 1850 census. I know that the Cossler family I am working with was in Kanawha County, WV, in the 1820 census. I know they came down into the Warrick,Spencer Co. IN from there. That is why I think Louisa Jane married an Abshire in VA or WV.
