Hi my name is Darlene Stayner and i am in serach of some of my moms family and hopes someone can help me. Her father is James Abshire he is a decendent of Lewis Byrd Abshire. James married a women named Virgee Copley and we are not sure if they had any children together. My mom says that her father and mother were never married and she was born out of wedlock. She was a ward of the court at age 2. Born and raised in west virginia. I am trying to find out when Virgee died and if she is one of Virgee's daughters or not she doesnt remember much about her mother at all. She always thought her last name was Mitchell. If anyone by chance happens to have any info on Virgee Copley and James Abshire please let me know. Thanks Darlene
