I do believe that the Abreu Family in Isabela were originally from the Canary Islands. My grandfather, Rodolfo Abreu, was from Isabela as well as my father, also named Rodolfo Abreu, who is now deceased. My grandmother died at an early age from a stroke. I also remember my father telling me that his descendents were of Basque origin. My dad was one of 13 children and I believe he was born sometime between 1918-1920. His siblings included Juana, Ana, Moncho, and Carmen. There were also children born out of wedlock. I believe my grandfather was a plantation owner in Puerto Rico. I would like to know more about this research if possible.

Thank you.
