Hello. My husband & I are researching his family tree also. They spell it Abrigo, but the given names mentioned below often match the names of family members in my husband’s (Tom) family. His Great Grandfather was Basilio Abrego/Abrigo. He was born about 1838 in Mexico or Spain. Tom’s Grandfather was Gregerio Abrigo was born in about 1878 in TX. Tom’s father was Tomas Abrigo born in 1914 also in TX. Tom was born in 1953 in TX. We have a son Aaron 23 and a daughter Amber 21. We are currently living in Southwestern Kansas. We did live for 2 years in south Texas and taught in Weslaco and La Feria Schools. I have found 7 children so far for Basilio Abrego. We are looking for more information cousin’s names and important dates for each. If any one is interested in sharing research and family history/stories please feel free to contact us.
