Hi, I'm looking for any information about the Abramson family of Nikalayev (sp.) and Vilna (Vilnius) Lithuania. Patriarch Shmaryahu Gershon Abramson never immigrated to the U.S., but most if not all of his children did. Ivan (ne Itzhak) Abramson (Sept. 1, 1869 - Sept. 15, 1934) came to New York as a child and made a name for himself as a journalist, writer, theater and opera impresario and a pioneer in the movie industry. Rose (nee Rachel) Abramson Kosloff (May 10, 1860 - Sept. 10, 1929) also lived in New York, and Rebecca Abramson Rubin (my great-grandmother) lived in Stamford, CT and died there in 1931 at the age of 69. Any information at all about this family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
